Rescued at just six days old by an Arizona Humane Society Emergency Animal Medical Technician in early May, Goliath was part of a litter of five stray puppies found without their mother. After a thorough vet exam at the shelter's trauma hospital, Goliath received fluids to combat dehydration and was treated for a mild puppy cold with antibiotics.
The now four-month-old Labrador Retriever mix thrived under the care of AHS' Bottle Baby ICU veterinary technicians where he and his littermates were given around the clock care with feedings every 3-4 hours. Once cleared to go into a dedicated Foster Hero home, Goliath earned his name by gaining lots of healthy puppy weight and blossoming into a sweet, high-energy pup.
