To make healthcare more accessible, the medical company Forward is opening the world’s first AI-powered doctor’s offices called CarePods in malls, gyms and offices nationwide. Soon, shoppers at Chandler Fashion Center will be among the first in the country to have access to these immersive health pods and take advantage of their pioneering technology.
The Forward CarePod is set to open at Chandler Fashion Center early this year. The CarePod is a self-contained, self-serve clinic that puts patients in control of their visits and health using artificial intelligence, along with clinical expertise and the latest medical research. As more CarePods open across the U.S., the intent is for people to visit the clinics for regular check-ups as they would at a normal doctor’s office, as well as to receive current and preventative treatment. As of now, CarePods can perform advanced diagnostics, disease detection, biometric body scans, blood testing and more, while also offering personalized health plans.
The cost is a $99 monthly subscription, which gives members on-demand access to Forward CarePods for a seamless in-person experience. Once inside, patients will find a chair facing a screen showcasing a series of Health Apps. These Health Apps provide care for a wide range of health concerns, including diabetes, hypertension, weight management, depression and anxiety, and will soon feature areas such as Prenatal Care, Advanced Cancer Screening and Polygenic Risk Analysis.
During their visit, members can determine a baseline of their health through body scans, DNA sequencing and even blood samples using a small vacuum chamber that attaches to the upper arm. From there, offsite medical experts can create personalized health plans and prescribe necessary medication that can all be viewed and monitored through the Forward app. While all testing and diagnostics can be made within the AI-powered CarePod, Forward doctors make all care decisions.
For Forward, CarePods are the next step for reversing the global health crisis by making healthcare more accessible, affordable and of higher quality. The Forward CarePod at Chandler Fashion Center will be located near the escalator between White House Black Market and Nick’s Menswear.
