Kitchen Switchen Fosters Conscious Community

Calling all culinary aficionados! A newly launched online marketplace, Kitchen Switchen, allows shoppers to ethically buy and sell kitchenware while contributing to a vibrant ‘Conscious Culinary Community.’

Phoenician Amy Powers and her two daughters, Brittney and Emma Valentine, run the business. The trio took things digital, converting Kitchen Switchen into an online hub for those looking to buy or sell cookware and create a community, encouraging shoppers to make the most of their culinary journey regardless of their available resources.

“Our entrepreneurial spirit and passion for sustainability inspired us to create a unique reseller marketplace,” Amy said. “My daughters and I are excited to bring the joy of cooking back home, like we’ve always enjoyed as a family. How Poshmark revolutionized fashion, we hope to transform kitchenware, connecting and empowering cooks and creators in one vibrant and exciting space.”

The reseller marketplace gives cooking enthusiasts a free online space to sell their kitchenware and expertise for a low commission, with access to a live customer service team during business hours. Resellers can list bakeware, coffee and tea products, houseware, cutlery, tabletop & bar products, tools & gadgets, cookbooks, classes, meal plans and more.

With a variety of cookware available for purchase – from Le Creuset to Our Place – the website offers a wide selection of pre-owned cooking and baking brands. Shoppers are also able to peruse new items from major name brands.

Kitchen Switchen strives to revolutionize the cooking game by breaking down social and economic barriers, educating buyers on sustainability and encouraging bakers to bake and cooks to cook. Along with the marketplace, the site features resources for culinary enthusiasts to share and browse recipes, cookbooks, meal plans, homemaking classes and more.

Its ‘Kitchen Kids’ section allows parents to buy and sell items like back-to-school lunch boxes, storage containers, and thermoses. The site will soon offer resources to help children get excited about learning in the kitchen.

A primary goal of Kitchen Switchen is sustainability, which is achieved by giving gently used kitchenware a second life and reducing landfill waste. Each year, more than 100 million pots and pans are discarded globally. Many of those are composed of materials that accumulate in landfills and contaminate soil and water sources.

The site’s products prioritize sustainable, recycled and non-toxic materials to reduce the planet’s carbon footprint and shift how people consume and dispose of kitchen equipment.
