Who is eligible to be the Face of Foothills?
Anybody is eligible to enter- we have no height, sex or age restrictions. All those under 18 on our site provided proof of parental permission. We welcome both amateur and professional models as a part of the contest.

The rules said to submit a photo without makeup. All the models in the contest are wearing makeup. Was I not accepted because I submitted a photo without makeup on?
No, almost all of our models submitted photos sans-makeup, and we gave equal consideration to all entrants, regardless of the type of photo submitted. We asked our top choices if they'd like to submit a professional headshot for Web voting so photos would appear more finished and consistent with the rest of our site.
I did not know men or minors could enter the contest.
In May we opened the contest up to as many types of people as possible, which were reflected in a press release we published here and rules we published here. All those under 18 we chose to feature on our site provided proof of parental permission. We hope you enter our contest next year!
How does voting work?
Voting is unlimited, so models are encouraged to promote the contest to friends and family. There are two rounds of voting, giving the public a lot of say in who makes our final round.
*Semi-Finalists
The top 100 Semi-Finalists vote from August 15 to September 15. The 50 models with the most votes will then move on to the finalist round.
*Finalists
Finalist contestant votes will be reset, and the second round will take place from September 18 to October 18. The 50 Finalists will be narrowed down to 10 through this round of voting.
*Top Ten
AFM's creative team and a panel of judges will then choose a winner from the final 10 models to be the Face of Foothills.
What does the winner receive?
The winner receives an amazing prize package worth more than $10,000. (Restrictions may apply on prizes, all prizes are based on availability and not redeemable for cash.) This package includes:
*A cover and spread in the February 2010 issue of Arizona Foothills Magazine, which includes styling and a professional shoot with AFM’s Creative Director and Fashion Director
*A year as the face that greets readers on the header of the AZFoothills.com home page
* A year as the face on all Arizona Foothills Magazine About Town E-Newsletters, sent weekly to tens of thousands of subscribers
*A $500 shopping spree at Saks Fifth Avenue and a special cosmetic gift bag
*$1,000 in cash courtesy of Arizona Foothills Magazine
*$5,000 in jewelry courtesy of Arizona Foothills Magazine
* A three-night stay at W Scottsdale in a Wonderful Room for two
