Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona has built more than 1,220 new homes and helped fix over 4,200 repairs on existing homes since 1985. With the help of generous donors, volunteers and sponsors, Habitat has helped create homes to improve the lives of over 5,000 Arizona families.

To continue helping local families, Habitat is conducting its inaugural golf tournament called Fore the Build, in partnership with Mill Creek Residential. AZ Foothills is a proud sponsor of the golf fundraising event, which will take place at the stunning Camelback Golf Club at the JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa beginning at 6 a.m. on Friday, September 20, 2024.

To raise funds to support Habitat’s mission of providing affordable housing and home repair solutions to families in Arizona, golfers of all levels will enjoy a day of golfing with friends, colleagues and supporters of the non-profit organization.

“We are excited to partner with Mill Creek Residential to bring the Fore the Build Golf Tournament to the community,” says Habitat President & CEO Jason Barlow. “Our goal is to raise awareness of the urgent need for decent and affordable housing in our community and to highlight the impact we can make together.”

The Fore the Build Golf Tournament Fundraiser will specifically benefit Habitat’s core programs, including Home Ownership and Neighborhood Revitalization, Aging in Place for seniors, and Veteran-focused initiatives.

“As a leading rental-housing provider, Mill Creek understands the foundational importance that a great home provides in a person’s life,” says Chip Bay, chief construction officer for Mill Creek Residential. “That’s why we are so excited about supporting the mission of Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona by being a premier sponsor of the Fore the Build Golf Tournament. This will be a tremendously enjoyable event, and it’s immensely gratifying to know that the proceeds benefit Arizonans in need of affordable housing and home repairs.”
